Explore why the plastic lunch box market is replaced by inferior lunch boxes

The PS foam lunch box first appeared in China in 1987. This year, the first PS foam plastic lunch box production line was introduced from Japan to China. Due to its low price and ease of use, this kind of lunch box has spread at an alarming rate. As of the end of the 1990s, China's annual production of PS foam lunch boxes reached 5 billion, which flooded alleys and ubiquitous.

So far, the sales and supply market of plastic lunch boxes has long been incomplete, and there are "black-hearted lunch boxes" everywhere; nowadays, it is not easy to avoid such "black-hearted lunch boxes". Because the "qualified rate" of disposable lunch boxes on the market is less than half.

Why is there such a market situation? In fact, it is not difficult to find that, from consumers to manufacturing enterprises, to sales suppliers, all are pursuing "maximization of interests".

"Profit is the most important issue", if the production of high-quality lunch boxes, the use of food-grade polypropylene resin raw materials, the price per ton of raw materials is 11,000 yuan. The price of industrial waste plastics is 5,000 yuan per ton, and inferior industrial calcium carbonate fillers are cheaper, only 2,000 yuan per ton. After conversion, the cost of "black-hearted lunch boxes" can be saved by half, and there is more profit space.

Although in terms of quality, high-quality lunch boxes have incomparable advantages: because of the high purity of polypropylene, such lunch boxes are strong, leak-proof, and have low health hazards. But for those consumers who buy lunch boxes - various restaurants, price is often the most important factor they consider compared to quality and safety. As a result, low-priced and low-quality "black-hearted lunch boxes" have taken the upper hand again and again, occupying most of the market share.
